In 1879 John Boutaris, a businessman with a vision to revive the outstanding quality of Greek wine and the art of Greek wine-making, established the Boutari company in Naoussa and laid the foundations of the company”s wine-making philosophy, which can be summarized in three main principles:
- Dedication to quality
- Promotion of bottled and brand name wines with the aim of satisfying consumer needs
- Respect for Greek tradition
The following principles were added to the Group”s modern philosophy:
