A new strong bond has been created in the wine world. Ernest & Julio Gallo, the world’s biggest Californian quality wine producer, signed a distribution agreement for the Greek Market with the Boutari Company.
The world wide awareness and popularity of the Gallo wines, together with the well organized distribution network and marketing know-how of Boutari, will aim at repeating the success story that Gallo has created with his Californian wines all over Europe; only this time in Greece.
The two family companies, Gallo and Boutari, have both been quality wine makers for generations and feel that this cooperation will be the beginning of a new era in the imported wine business of the Greek market.
Boutari will import selected Gallo wines that belong to the Ernest & Julio Gallo Wine Cellars, the famous Ernest & Julio Turning Leaf range, the Ernest & Julio Gallo Sonoma County Selection, the Ernest & Julio Gallo Single Vineyards and the top premium Ernest & Julio Gallo Northern Sonoma Estates. The physical distribution in the market will start early 2002 and Gallo wines will be available both in the “on” as well as in the “off” premise sectors.
Both companies have proven beyond doubt in the past that “the biggest” can also be “the best”. It is no wonder therefore that the feeling about this international cooperation is that it has all the credentials to prosper.
